Summary: a tech pack is the contract between your imagination and our sewing lines. It needs seven blocks: flat sketches, measurement chart, fabric spec, wash reference, trims & hardware, label placement, and packing instructions. No tech pack yet? A reference garment plus a one-page brief gets you 80% of the way.
Block 1 — Flat sketches, front and back
Clean technical drawings with stitch lines, pocket shapes and hardware positions. They do not need beauty; they need unambiguity. Mark topstitch colours and stitch types (lockstitch vs chainstitch) if you care about them — on denim, you should.
Block 2 — The measurement chart
Waist, front and back rise, hip, thigh, knee, leg opening, inseam — in centimetres, for your base size, with the measuring method noted (waist relaxed or extended?). State your fit intent in words too: "true to size, sits below navel". Words catch what numbers miss.
Block 3 — Fabric specification
Weight (oz), composition (e.g. 98/2 cotton-elastane), shade direction, and any non-negotiables (selvedge, PFD). If you have a swatch, send it; if not, our weights guide gives you the vocabulary.
Block 4 — Wash reference
The single highest-leverage attachment: a photo of a garment whose wash you love — or better, the garment itself. "Medium vintage blue" means forty things; a reference means one. We name the recipe from the reference and confirm it with a wash sample.
Block 5 — Trims and hardware
Buttons, rivets, zip type and length, thread colours. Specify brands where it matters — we default to original YKK — and finishes (copper, nickel-free, antique).
Block 6 — Labels and placement
Artwork files for woven labels, leather patch, care label content (fibre composition and care symbols for your market), hangtag, and a placement diagram. EU and US care-label requirements differ slightly; flag your destination market and we align the content.
Block 7 — Size run and packing
Grading rules or a size chart across the run, ratio per size, folding method, polybag and carton markings. Unsexy, decisive for smooth delivery.

- A reference garment (fit) + a wash photo (finish) + fabric direction (weight/stretch)
- Your size run and quantities
- Label artwork, even rough
